Hotel Dei Vicari is located in a very convenient location, roughly 1 kilometre from the International Racing Circuit of Mugello and only 300 meters from the main square in Scarperia and the monumental Palace of Vicari, the Museum of Irons, and the Bottega of Cutlery.
The town of Scarperia, more than any other town in Mugello, maintains the characteristics of a medieval fortress both because of its prominent position as well as its urban structure in the historical center, closed within the antique walls, with the main square in the center where the beautiful Palace of the Vicari rises to dominate the surrounding countryside, lined with ancient castles and farmyards that were once dwellings of the Medici family.

Now, even Mugello, the Apennine area north of Florence, boasts its naturalistic and artistic wealth where visitors see a natural and varied environment.

For the sports enthusiast, there are numerous festivities organized by the International Racing Circuit of Mugello and the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club in Scarperia, as well as other recreational activities like water sports including canoeing and sailing at Bilancino Lake, only a few kilometers from Hotel Dei Vicari.
The area offers multiple attractions: leisurely walks and hiking for the more expertise, horseback riding excursions, cycling or mountain biking, archery, competitive fishing, swimming, tennis, equitation, and aero club for parasailing.

The old and charming railway track Faentina allows you to easily reach the territories of Community Montana Mugello, Alto Mugello and Val di Sieve, both from the Romagnolo side, departing from Faenza, as well as the Tuscany side, departing from Florence

By car
Exit from "A1" highway at Barberino del Mugello. Follow directions to Sand Piero a Sieve, and after the Castle of Cafaggiolo turn left, direction Scarperia (Mugello Circuit).
From Florence centre you can also drive the "Via Bolognese " road "SS 65" or "Via Faetina" road (about 30 kilometres).
